Review for Sweet Venom by Tera Lynn Childs (5 cat review):

Three girls. Three lives. Three destiny's.

Greer, Gretchen and Grace are triplet girls, separated at birth, all sent to very different homes. Their fates are entwined and they are the mortal descendants of the Gorgon Medusa. They were born to fight and protect the world from monster that come to the human realm from the abyss.

None of the girls no anything about their history except Gretchen, who is taken in by one of Medusa's immortal sister, Euryale. She saved Gretchen from alcoholic parents that abused each other and her. She is trained and taught in the ways of killing.
Greer has very wealthy parents that have given her everything she could ever want... except their love.
Grace was adopted by a loving family with caring parents and a brother. She has never kept anything from them. Until now.

I thought this book was exciting, thrilling, touching and it made my heart warm at the love these sisters share in the end. They ban together to save the human world from the monsters they don't know exist. I thought it was interesting reading about the way their lives collided and exploded like an atomic bomb. I was also impresses by the way they handled it. I don't believe that girls always have to freak out about things like that, but Grace and Greer actually embraced it.

The Greek Mythology was by far the best part of the book. I adore Greek stories and learning about the Gods and Goddesses that the Greek's worship. The whole aspect of the Gods coming to life and being physically "real" is fun way to go about a fantasy book. Good job to Tera Lynn Childs on this one. I will defiantly be reading the next one, Sweet Shadows.

Cheers,
Jessica
